Case study: Strategy implementation support

The City of Warrnambool is an example of one of Tilma’s clients committed to activation (which we love!)

Tilma worked closely with the City’s Events Team, and industry and community stakeholders to co-create an events strategy for the City, then supported the team with strategic activation via strategy workshops at six-monthly intervals over the first year, to help them address any roadblocks to activation, provide advice on how to move priority projects forward, and to recognise and celebrate their wins.

Events Strategy

In 2024, Tilma developed an Events Strategy for the City of Warrnambool, completed in mid-2024.

Linda (Tilma), Victoria (Warrnambool), Kushla (Tilma) and Lauren (Warrnambool)

Implementation support

To support the strategy’s implementation Linda held an two-hour implementation session on the strategy’s action plan with the City’s Events Team to talk over the first delivery priorities for the team to action. Together we discuss priorities, considering budget and resourcing.

Six months later, we had another implementation session with the team, to check in on progress and discuss the next stage of activation.

We also provided a bank of hours for the team’s manager to book with Linda at any for strategic advice and support.

As the second session was held in Warrnambool instead of remotely by video conference, Linda also squeezed in a one-day bootcamp for local event organisers!

I wanted to let you know how much I have loved working with you both and thank you for the work you have done with the team and I over the past two years.

You have been so wonderful to work with, inspiring and encouraging with your input into our roles and strategy.
— Lauren Edney, Service Manager of Events & Promotion
